Character Rank in
Battelborn.
Each Hero can permanently rank up from 1 to 15 outside of missions and matches, allowing players to swap out augments in their Helix skill tree, as well as unlock other features. You get Mutations, Skins, Taunts and bonus Loot Packs each time you rank up a character. You rank up your heroes by using them to complete Story Missions as well as matches in one of the competitive Game Modes.
Each Hero's character rank and progression can be viewed from the Command menu, in the Battleborn Tab. Select the hero you wish to view. You can cycle through and preview the Taunts and Skins even if you have not obtained the Character Rank needed to unlock them.
You may also view the lore for each hero which are unlocked at certain milestones, such as killing a certain amount of enemies or completing other objectives and challenges.
